Hello and welcome!

I’m Rosanna, (No Toto songs please) the writer behind the B. Angelo Mysteries—and the voice behind Chicken Lady Writes.

After 31 years with the Philadelphia Police Department, I traded in my badge for a keyboard. These days, I write police procedurals, dystopian fiction, cozy mysteries, and maybe a cozy romance when it strikes my fancy.

The B. Angelo Mysteries follow Detective B. Angelo—smart, stubborn, and tougher than she needs to be most days. I started writing the Angelo Mysteries way back in 2003 while I was still working patrol. By 2007, I was promoted to detective and had to stop writing in the middle of book 5. (Detective work is hard.)

However, now that I am retired, I have more time to write, and I would like you all to join me on the adventure.

Here on the blog, you’ll find a little bit of everything: behind-the-scenes glimpses into my writing process, updates about new books, mystery recommendations, even your ideas for future stories, and yes—the occasional real-life chicken story.
